What you can expect during your visit as we do our best to respond to the threat of COVID-19.
Your safety is our priority. Voices for Children is taking several safety measures in order to protect families and staff, and slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. If you are coming in for a forensic interview, here is what you can expect:
1.) All families coming in for a forensic interview will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and risk factors within 24 hours of their appointment time. All essential staff present must be screened before the start of each workday.
2.) We ask that only one caregiver attend the appointment with their child or children. As much as possible we are minimizing the number of people entering the building, including staff members, and community partners.
3.) When you arrive, please call our center to let the staff know you have arrived and are in the parking lot. We ask that you remain in your vehicle until directed to ensure another family is not also in the building, and give staff time if needed to disinfect any surfaces for your safety.
4.) Everyone attending is required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth, including staff, children, and caregivers. Masks will be provided as needed.
5.) Everyone attending the appointment including families, and essential staff, must wash their hands thoroughly upon entering the center for a minimum of 20 seconds with soap and water. A Family Advocate will escort the family to the bathroom upon arriving in order to accommodate this.
6.) Family Advocates are also minimizing their in-person contact with families during their visit. To do this, the team will be connecting over the phone to offer services and assist you. Below you will find two forms we ask that you complete before your appointment date, as well as the contact information for our Family Advocates. These forms may be emailed or texted to you. If at any point you have questions or concerns please reach out to our team.
7.) Our Child & Family Therapists, as much as possible, are providing telehealth services rather than in-person sessions. Learn more about our therapy services here.
Thank you for your understanding and compliance with these safety measures. Together we can prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Click here to learn more about our services including the forensic interview, or speak with our Family Advocates today.
