Flint Superhero Run

One of the Flint areas favorite family fun events is back! We have an interesting course, a great venue, and the event will be bigger and better than ever! Every finisher will receive a custom finishers medal. The 5K Run and 5K Walk are timed events with age-group awards. The family-friendly 1K Family Fun Run will remain a non-competitive event. The Flint Superhero Run promises to provide fun for the entire family.

All proceeds will benefit the Voices for Children Advocacy Center, which is dedicated to serving the child victims and families of child abuse in Genesee County and enhancing the lives of all children through treatment, education and by increasing community awareness

The day of the event we will have face painting available, a photobooth, and Party Roamer! We encourage you to dress as your favorite superhero. Dress up or not, we look forward to seeing you there.

Walk Participant Agreement

We welcome and encourage participation in the walk for those not interested in running. Please be aware that the walk event is a timed event with awards, so it is unfair for those competing if you run any portion of the event. To ensure the accuracy of the results and awards, we have implemented the following policy. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Walk participants are required to walk throughout the entire 5k walk event. No running is allowed at any time. If you want to run any portion of the event, please register for the run.
  • The walk event will start after the run event. Any walker starting with the runners will be changed to the run category.
  • Walkers will be judged by their peers. If three or more people report seeing a walker run any portion of the event, they will be disqualified from the walk category. Any walker identified as running across the finish line by the timing staff, will also be disqualified from the walk.
  • Any protests must be made prior to award announcements on race day. Once awards are given, results are considered final.

Severe Weather Policy

The safety of our athletes, spectators and volunteers is our primary concern. In the event of inclement weather, every attempt will be made to preserve the safety of everyone involved, and complete the race as scheduled.

In the event of severe weather (eg: lightning, flooding, tornado, high winds, heat, snow, ice) the event may be delayed as race officials consult public safety officers. If there is more than a reasonable delay, or if conditions persist, race officials reserve the right to shorten or cancel the race. Participants should seek safe shelter should severe weather develop during the race.

Please check our website, Facebook Page and your email before the race for any changes or cancellations. If you are already at the event, listen to the announcer about any weather changes that may occur. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event the race is canceled. Entry fees will not be credited to future events.
